1300 Series. Two Flute Downcut Finishing Spiral router bit

The 1300 series are general purpose cnc rooter tools, they are excellent for not only for cutting natural soft and hard woods, but also MDF and plywood. The down cut flutes give a very good clean top finish and provide pressure on the router work piece which helps to hold down small parts on the bed of the cnc router machine. This type of router tooling is ideal for applications where a up cut router tool is too aggressive and lifts the material away from the router bed. Downcut router cutters are used when the downshearing effect of the tool is preferred. This tool will produce a clean top edge of a dado type or groove type cut or simply a thru cut where the bottom edge cut quality is not important. These tools will direct chip flow downward whilst helping to hold parts onto table or pods. When nest cutting, the toolpath remains packed with chips which helps to preserve maximum vacuum. Never plunge straight down with CNC downcut router tooling. This may cause fire or tool breakage. L = left hand rotation. * Not guaranteed against breakage due to extreme cutting edge length.
